Boone, a Border Collie mix, is about 4 years old, stands 23" tall, and weighs 47 pounds. He is up to date on his vaccinations, been neutered, tested negative for heartworm and is on monthly preventative.
Boone has a lot of energy to burn and will require an active home with the time and interest to devote to him. He is extremely intelligent, learning new commands quickly.
This dog is very friendly, outgoing and loves attention, liking nothing better than to be with his people, whatever they are doing. He gets along well with other dogs and loves to run, romp, and play.
A fenced yard is a requirement to adopt Boone.
Boone has completed obedience training and excels at the sit-stay command. He heels very nicely, comes when called, does figure eights and turns with ease. Stand-stay and down are coming along nicely. He recently attended an Introduction to Agility Class at the Medina Swarm Agility Club, where he showed all that he has the aptitude and ability for this form of dog sport as well.
To apply to adopt: An Adoption Application must be completed, submitted & approved. An adoption contract and an adoption fee (to help cover vet expenses) will also be required. We reserve the right to reject any applicant. Visits with our rescue dogs are by appointment, subsequent to completion of the Adoption Application. We conduct a home visit and a reference check as part of the application process.
Out of state Adoption Applications will not be accepted for Boone. Potential Adopters must be a resident of the State of Ohio.
