Snickers is a 2 year old male beagle who was surrendered to a county humane society by a temporary owner. This good samaritan took Snickers in and away from his previous owner because that person was moving and told him she ws just going to let Snickers go loose in the woods. She thought he would do JUST FINE on his own in the woods.
So, the Good Samaritan took Snickers away from this horrible woman and brought him home with him. Unfortunately, his own senior beagle objected to Snicker's presence. So, Snickers ended up at the humane society, however, the Good Samaritan talked to them at length about finding Snickers a home and not euthanizing him. Caleb's Canine Rescue, Inc. was then contacted and we agreed to bring Snickers into our rescue.
In addition, Snickers has been passed from home to home during his short life. We don't know the circumstances of all this, but know it can't be Snickers' fault. He has a sweet sweet temperament.
Snickers loves to play with Lil' Bit and all the other dogs. He is working on going outside to use the potty. At Snicker's previous home, he was tied outside all the time, so being in a home is really different for him. But he is trying. He is sort of shy when he first meets you, but after he knows you won't hurt him he will love you forever.
Snickers will be up to date on his vaccinations and will be neutered prior to adoption.
To apply to adopt: An Adoption Application must be completed, submitted & approved. An adoption contract and an adoption fee (to help cover her vet expenses) will also be required. We reserve the right to reject any applicant. Visits with our rescue dogs are by appointment and should you decide that you do want to adopt a particular dog, we conduct a home visit and a reference check as part of the application process.
We prefer to adopt locally (Northern Ohio), or at least within Ohio, but will consider an out of state adoption in order for him to find the perfect home.
