Jake, approximately 1 1/2 to 2 years old and weighing about 30 pounds, is the epitomy of Border Collie. He is extremely high energy, exhibits a certain amount of herding instinct, a high ball drive, and, by nature, a certain obsessiveness.
Jake is also loving and friendly. He gives wonderful hugs and wants nothing more than the attention of his people.
Jake will require an owner experienced with herding and/or high energy dogs. He is not for a novice dog owner. A performance or working home would be ideal due to his energy level and requirements.
Jake is current on his vaccinations, tested negative for heartworm and has been neutered.
To apply to adopt: An Adoption Application must be completed, submitted & approved. An adoption contract and an adoption fee (to help cover vet expenses) will also be required. We reserve the right to reject any applicant. Visits with our rescue dogs are by appointment, subsequent to completion of the Adoption Application. We conduct a home visit and a reference check as part of the application process.
Out of state Adoption Applications will not be accepted. Potential Adopters must be a resident of the State of Ohio.
