Otis is a 7 year old male Basset hound/Beagle with a very deep bark. He is a very distinguished older gentleman and gets along well with everyone. He likes to be near his foster mom all times. Where ever she goes he is following. I guess you could say Otis is a velcro dog.
Otis is mainly brown and white. He has some black but not a lot. He does have some white on his face and muzzle. But that only adds character to him. He is very loving and enjoys walks on a leash. Otis does pull some but we are working on that.
Otis weighs about 40 lbs. and we are watching how much he eats. At this time Otis is not happy with us. Otis would do fine in a home with children and other pets since he is very laid back. Otis likes to go for car rides and is crate trained.
Otis has had his vaccinations, been neutered, wormed, tested negative for heartworm and is on preventative.
To apply to adopt: An Adoption Application must be completed, submitted & approved. An adoption contract and an adoption fee (to help cover vet expenses) will also be required. We reserve the right to reject any applicant. Visits with our rescue dogs are by appointment and should you decide that you do want to adopt a particular dog, we conduct a home visit and a reference check as part of the application process.
We prefer to adopt locally (Northern Ohio), or at least within Ohio, and will not accept applications from out of state.
